Alpha Wire PTFE Insulation Natural Tan Jacket SPC Braided Shield Coaxial Cable
Alpha Wire SPC Coaxial is a dual serving cable. It can serve in both wet and dry locations. The cable has an operational temperature rating of -200C to 800C. This cable is constructed to distribute power of 600 volts. PTFE insulation refers to Polytetrafluoroethylene. It is shielded with SPC (silver-plated copper) braided to provide an additional mechanical protection.
Conductor
The Alpha SPC Coaxial Cable measures 19 AWG and 100 feet long. This cable is made of stranded and tinned copper conductors. Stranding optimizes flexibility of the cable. Flexible Alpha PTFE Coaxial cable is easy to install since it is folderable.
Tinning is the process of electroplating where copper conductors are dipped in the electrolyte. An electric current is passed through them, coating the conductors with a thin film of tin metal. Tinned conductors are smooth and friction resistant. They are also resistant to corrosive industrial chemicals.
Approvals and Certifications
These are rules and regulations set aside by the international organizations. They are proof that the Alpha PTFE SPC Braided Cable is of quality.
• ASTM 3
• ASTM 8
• National Electrical Code (NEC) Acceptance
• RoHS approval
• Underwriters Laboratory (UL)
Insulation
Polytetrafluoroethylene insulation is a non-conducting polymer. It protects the user form electric shocks. PTFE is protective from the harsh environmental conditions. This insulation ensures safety of the user is not compromised.
Jacketing
The cable is jacketed with a black color coded Polyvinyl Chloride. PVC jacketing offers a superb chemical and mechanical protection. Polyvinyl Chloride is tough and non-biodegradable. Therefore the Coaxial Alpha Wire will withstand fungal attacks as well as abrasions.
Applications
• Power control units
• Fire alarms
• Lighting lamps
