Specification
6" wide, vertical distribution ring for equipment racks. Mounts on side of rack, providing two separate distribution rings for front and rear cable routing
About:
Vertical manager rings shall mount on the side of a standard equipment rack and provide two separate distribution rings for front and rear cable management. The rear rings shall be 6" wide x 4.5" deep and provide the capacity to manage and store 360 cords/cables. The front rings shall be 6" x 6" and provide the capacity to manage and store up to 500 cords/cables.
Common Applications:
• Data Centers: Used extensively in data centers to manage the high volume of cables connecting servers, switches, and other equipment. It helps ensure proper airflow, reduce signal interference, and facilitate easier maintenance.
• Telecom Closets: For buildings with extensive telecom infrastructure, these rings help manage cables coming from different parts of the building.
• Server Rooms: Similar to data centers but on a smaller scale, they help keep server cables organized, reducing clutter and ensuring optimal server performance.
• Patch Panels:When numerous cables are being patched through, vertical manager rings help ensure cables don't become tangled and are easy to trace.
• Network Switches and Routers: These devices often have many cables coming in and out. Vertical manager rings help in guiding these cables properly within the racks.
Features:
• Deal for quick adds, moves and changes.
• Compatible with vertical cable management components.
• Rings have radiused edges to protect cable from nicks or wear.
Standards:
ANSI/TIA-942: This standard, set by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), covers data center design and provides guidance on cabling infrastructure, including cable management.
EIA-310:This standard, set by the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA), defines the specifications for racks, panels, and associated equipment. It might dictate, for instance, the width and spacing of mounting points for vertical manager rings.
ISO/IEC 11801:This international standard specifies generic cabling for customer premises. It touches on components and setup for structured cabling systems.
