444 MCM 1C TC Shielded Nylon Tape Braid 133% EPR GAALSHIP Medium IEEE Type E SC 8KV Offshore Cable
Allowable Ampacity for 444 MCM 1C TC Shielded Nylon Tape Braid 133% EPR GAALSHIP Medium IEEE Type E SC 8KV Offshore Cable:100 Amps
About:
The 444 MCM 1C TC Shielded Nylon Tape Braid 133% EPR GAALSHIP Medium IEEE Type E SC 8KV Offshore Cable is designed for medium voltage applications in harsh offshore and marine settings. It features a single tinned copper conductor with nylon tape and metallic braid shielding, insulated with Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR). This configuration ensures excellent electrical performance and durability against environmental and chemical hazards. The cable is ideal for powering critical systems on offshore platforms and marine vessels where reliability and safety are paramount.
Also Known As:
• 444 MCM Single Conductor Tinned Copper Shielded Cable
• EPR Insulated 8KV Medium Voltage Offshore Cable
• IEEE Type E SC 8KV Shielded Offshore Cable
Application:
• Offshore oil and gas platforms: Used for power distribution and critical systems where high voltage and robust insulation are required.
• Marine vessels: Ideal for powering heavy-duty equipment and systems on ships and submarines where reliability under exposure to saltwater and varying temperatures is crucial.
• Heavy industrial environments: Suitable for installations requiring cables that can withstand severe mechanical stresses and chemical exposures.
Standards:
• IEEE Type E: Meets the specifications for Type E cables under IEEE standards, ensuring performance in medium voltage and severe environmental conditions.
• Screened Cable (SC): Equipped with additional screening to protect against external electromagnetic influences, crucial in maintaining system stability and safety.
• Flame Retardant: Complies with flame retardancy standards, critical in reducing fire risks in offshore and marine installations.
