Also Known As :A cable tie, also known as a zip tie or tie-wrap, is a type of fastener, particularly for binding several electronic cables or wires together and to organize them.
About :
• Commonly used for professional cable management within control system, data/IT, DAS, electrical, HVAC, pro AV & security applications.
• Cable ties are typically made from a sturdy nylon material and consist of a flexible tape section with teeth that engage with a pawl in the head of the tie to form a ratchet so that as the free end of the tape section is pulled the cable tie tightens and does not come undone
Standards:
• Some ties include a tab that can be depressed to release the ratchet so that the tie can be loosened or removed, and possibly reused. These are known as releasable cable ties.
• They come in a range of sizes and strengths to accommodate different numbers and sizes of cables, and some are designed to be more weather-resistant or heat-resistant than others.
Construction :
• One side of the tape contains tiny hooks, while the other side is covered with softer loops. When the tape is wrapped around itself, the hooks catch on the loops, creating a secure bond that can be easily undone when necessary.
• Unlike traditional zip ties, which need to be cut to be removed, One-Wrap tape can be easily peeled apart and reattached as needed without damaging the tape or the cables.
