Specification

16 AWG 42P TC Shielded Al Tape XLPO GAALSHIP Instrumentation IEEE Type P 0.6/1KV Offshore Cable

Allowable Ampacity for 16 AWG 42P TC Shielded Al Tape XLPO GAALSHIP Instrumentation IEEE Type P 0.6/1KV Offshore Cable:100 Amps

About:

This cable features an 16 American Wire Gauge (AWG) single pair (42P) tinned copper (TC) conductor, which is ideal for precise data transmission. The aluminum (Al) tape shielding provides excellent protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI), which is critical in environments with high electronic noise. The cross-linked polyolefin (XLPO) insulation offers superior chemical and thermal stability, enhancing the durability and safety of the cable under extreme conditions. It is rated for 0.6/1 kV, suitable for medium voltage applications.

Also Known As:

16 AWG Single Pair Aluminum Tape Shielded Cable
Offshore TC Shielded Instrumentation Cable
XLPO Insulated Marine Instrumentation Cable

Application:

Offshore oil rigs and gas extraction sites for instrumentation systems that monitor and control operational parameters.
Marine vessels and platforms where environmental resistance and reliability are paramount.
Industrial environments requiring precise and interference-free data transmission.

Standards:

IEEE Type P Specifies performance requirements for cables used in offshore petroleum facilities and similar industrial applications.
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards for flame resistance and halogen-free materials.
Additional standards for resistance to oil, UV, and abrasion might also apply, depending on the specific cable variant.
