Applications:

Tray 600V Low Smoke Zero Halogen Cable is used in cable trays that call for low-smoke cables. Usually, these are the locations where the high heat is prevalent, and the danger of smoke or fire is apparent. Some of the common applications include cable trays on the board of the ship or in computer networking locations. PVC cables are not recommended for these applications because the danger of smoke is serious with them. The electrical cable is suitable for free-air applications, raceways, aerial and direct burial. It works equally well with moist and dry applications. The electrical cable is suitable for Class 1 Division 2 applications and for an exposed run in 3 or more conductors. The maximum recommended temperature is 90 C, and the voltage rating is 600 V.

Stranded tin-plated copper conductors per ASTM B33 with a Class B stranding per ASTM B8.

Insulation:

XLPE is organic synthetic insulation with high dielectric strength. It is lead-free, low-smoke and flame-retardant, and very promising in terms of durability.

XLPE is also insoluble in polar solvents such as chemicals and acids. It is weather and ozone resistant yet highly flexible. Flexibility enables the cable to be folded to fit into ducts and cable trays.

Jacket:

The LSZH Low Smoke Zero Halogen jacket protects the cable from chemically and physically harsh conditions due to being lead-free, having sunlight-resistant, flame-retardant, and low smoke.
