Description
1000 MCM THHN/THWN-2 stranded copper wire is designed for THHN (thermoplastic high heat-resistant nylon, dry) and THWN-2 (wet) applications. The "W" indicates water resistance, making it suitable for wet or damp environments when installed in conduit. Supporting up to 600 volts, this wire operates at temperatures up to 90°C. The flame-retardant PVC jacket resists sunlight, moisture, and chemicals, ensuring durability in challenging conditions. Commonly used for large-scale industrial systems, power distribution, and commercial applications, this wire is available in 25 ft, 50 ft, 100 ft, 250 ft, 500 ft, or by the foot for custom lengths.
What are the Applications of 1000 MCM THHN Wire?
-
Service Entrance Wires: Powering large industrial and commercial facilities.
-
Main Feeder Wires: Distributing power to major subpanels and distribution systems.
-
Heavy-Duty HVAC Systems: Supporting large-scale heating, cooling, and ventilation units.
-
Industrial Equipment: Delivering power to high-current production lines and heavy machinery.
-
Underground Installations: Suitable for conduit applications when double-rated as THWN.
-
Power Distribution: Ensuring reliable power for large factories, campuses, and multi-building complexes.
