Applications:

The electrical cable known as aluminum quadruplex overhead service drop cable supplies three phase power and is also referred to as the three phase cable. The quadruplex overhead wire is designed for service at 600 V or lower (phase to phase), at a maximum conductor temperature of 75°C.

The 3 phase power cable has four conductors, with three of them being live conductors and one being a messenger conductor. The three aluminum quadruplex cable conductors are made of soft aluminum and extruded cross-linked polyethylene insulation, which protects the wire from the harsh outdoor environmental conditions; the messenger of this electrical cable is left bare.
