10 AWG 4C Stranded Bare Copper Shielded PE/PVC 600V Substation Control Cable
Allowable Ampacity for 10 AWG 4C Stranded Bare Copper Shielded PE/PVC 600V Substation Control Cable: 100 Amps
About:
• The Stranded Bare Copper Shielded PE/PVC 600V Substation Control Cable is designed for control and signaling applications in substation environments. This cable features stranded bare copper, insulated with polyethylene (PE), and shielded to protect against electromagnetic interference (EMI). The outer jacket is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), providing durability and environmental protection. Rated for 600 volts, this cable is suitable for medium voltage control and power distribution tasks.
Also Known As:
• Shielded Control Cable
• 600V Substation Control Cable
• PE/PVC Insulated Control Cable
• Stranded Bare Copper Shielded Cable
Application:
• These heavy duty cables are particularly suited for substation control functions, and can also be used for general purpose control circuits in industrial applications. They are semi-flexible, suitable for AC or DC use in dry or wet locations and can be used as aerial cables, installed in conduit or troughs or they can be directly buried. The cables are available at two rated voltages—600 volt for general control purposes and for protective devices, and 1,000 volt for use where high voltages are caused by breaking inductive circuits. The PE/PVC insulated conductors have excellent physical and electrical properties; the PVC jacket offers superior oil, chemical and moisture resistance
Standard:
• Complies with relevant IEC and NEC standards for control and power cables
• Meets industry standards for substation control cables
• Manufactured to stringent quality specifications for consistent performance
Construction:
• Conductors: Stranded bare copper for flexibility and excellent conductivity
• Insulation: Polyethylene (PE) for superior electrical insulation and durability
• Shielding: Aluminum/polyester tape for effective EMI/RFI protection
• Jacket: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for flexibility, durability, and environmental protection
• Voltage Rating: 600 volts
Features:
• High Signal Integrity: Effective shielding with aluminum/polyester tape to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI)
• Durability: PE insulation provides robust protection against mechanical stress and environmental factors
• Versatile Protection: PVC jacket ensures flexibility and resistance to environmental hazards such as moisture and chemicals
• Enhanced Safety: Suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, providing reliable protection in various conditions
