About:
• To transition from a 1-1/4" EMT push installation to using an EMT to EMT pull elbow, you would follow a similar process as outlined before, but ensuring compatibility with the specific size of the conduit. Here's how you can do it:
• Prepare the EMT Ends: Cut the ends of the 1-1/4" EMT cleanly using a conduit cutter or hacksaw, removing any burrs or sharp edges.
• Select the Pull Elbow: Choose a pull elbow designed for 1-1/4" EMT. Ensure that the pull elbow has the appropriate angle (e.g., 90 degrees) and is compatible with the size of the conduit.
• Insert the EMT Into the Pull Elbow: Slide one end of the 1-1/4" EMT into one side of the pull elbow until it reaches the stop inside the elbow. Make sure it is fully seated without any gap.
• Secure the EMT: If the pull elbow has set screws or other fastening mechanisms, use them to secure the 1-1/4" EMT in place within the pull elbow.
• Repeat for the Other End: Insert the other end of the second 1-1/4" EMT section into the opposite side of the pull elbow, following the same procedure as before.
• Check Alignment: Verify that both ends of the 1-1/4" EMT are properly aligned within the pull elbow, ensuring there are no obstructions or misalignments.
• Complete Installation: Once the pull elbow is securely in place and the EMT sections are properly connected, continue with the installation process, such as pulling wires through the conduit or making additional connections.
• By following these steps, you can effectively transition from a 1-1/4" EMT push installation to using an EMT to EMT pull elbow while ensuring compatibility with the conduit size.
