Description

The Chemtrol® threaded union is an injection molded polypropylene (PP) thermoplastic fitting for use with chemical processing, industrial plating, chilled water distribution, deionized water lines, chemical drainage, and wastewater treatment systems. The black PP threaded union features female NPT thread connections. This fitting is supplied with FKM fluorocarbon seals which are suited to most applications involving mineral acids, salt solutions, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils. It is also available with EPDM ethylene propylene which has good abrasion and tears resistance, plus excellent chemical resistance, but not recommended for applications involving petroleum oils or most strong acids. Chemtrol® industrial thermoplastic flow-control systems perform well in harsh environments because they are made with materials that are resistant to abrasion, corrosion, weather, and chemical and biological attack. Chemtrol® black polypropylene demonstrates excellent tensile strength, UV stability, and versatile chemical resistance properties, making it the material of choice for harsh industrial, outdoor, and underground applications.
