Shipboard Cable LS2SJ-11 11 AWG 2 Conductor MIL-C 24643 Tinned Copper

Applications:

Type LSSJ electrical cables are designed for non-flexible, non-watertight marine applications when completing essential tasks. They are particularly used in power systems, combat systems, internal connections, and lighting circuits. The cables are used when 400 Hz shielding is a requirement. The electrical cables are also equipped with a thermoset system to ease the application. They meet the requirements of surface transfer impedance and EMP response.

Construction:

Conductor: 

A tinned-coated stranded copper conductor for sizes 14 and smaller, or a bare copper conductor for sizes 12 and larger. The stranding is Class B.

Insulation:

XLPE cross-linked polyethylene insulation is resistant to moisture, flame, heat, and mechanical impact. The insulation is color-coded according to Method 3.

Jacket:

A cross-linked polyolefin low-smoke zero-halogen jacket with a surface marking. It has excellent fire and UV resistance. The jacket has excellent ecological properties and is generally non-toxic in the event of a fire. The jacket is color-coded in either black or white.

Armor:

The cable can be optionally armored with aluminum braided armor.
