About 6 Fiber Optic Strand Indoor Interlock Armor Multimode OM3 Plenum Cable:

Multimode OM3: Refers to the type of fiber. Multimode fibers support multiple rays of light, making them suitable for shorter distances compared to singlemode fibers. OM3 is a standard that signifies laser-optimized multimode fiber for 850 nm signals, capable of 10Gb/s speeds with distances up to 300 meters, and 100Gb/s speeds up to 100 meters.

Plenum: Rated for installation in air-handling spaces (plenums). Plenum-rated cables are made of flame-retardant materials that produce less smoke and fewer toxic fumes when burned.

Applications:

Plenum applications, including:

• Short to medium-distance data transmission within a building.
• Connections between servers in a data center, especially over shorter distances.
