Description

A Magnetic Power Strip is essentially a multi-outlet power distribution device with integrated magnets or a magnetic base so it can stick onto metal surfaces (toolboxes, metal shelving, steel frames) rather than only being wall-mounted or lying on a desk.

Application

• The surface you’re mounting to must be ferrous so that the magnets have proper hold. If the surface is aluminium, plastic, wood, the magnet may not hold/stick appropriately.

• Ensure the magnet strength is sufficient for the weight of the strip plus connected plugs/cables. Weak magnets may fail under load or if cords tug sideways. 

• For industrial/heavy-tool use, consider if the strip has a heavy gauge cord, proper outlet spacing for large plugs, and is built for rugged environments.
