In the stubbed configuration, it is ideal for installation in remote electronics cabinets. The unit’s compact height allows it to mount in a single, standard EIA 19-in or 23-in rack. The unit is available for use with field-installable connectors or with preconnectorized cable. RCS-012 occupies one rack space (1.75 in) and accommodates up to two connector panels and\/or modules. RCS-024 occupies two rack spaces (3.5 in) and accommodates up to four connector panels and\/or modules. Connector panels and modules are purchased separately. The stubbed RCS contains connector panels with a specific length of preconnectorized cable installed and strain-relieved in the unit.
