Low Voltage Type RG Single Conductor CMR Braid Shield FPE Insulation Coaxial Cable

Type RG Single Conductor cable is made of soft drawn copper conductor, which is insulated with Foam Polyethylene (FPE). It can be dual shielded, tri or quad to ensure smooth signal transmission.

• Conductor

The cable is made of a single copper conductor which is soft drawn in accordance to ASTM B-3. This is achieved through annealing process, whereby copper is heated then allowed to cool. Annealing doesn’t interfere with the good electrical conductive properties of copper; however it makes it soft and improves its workability. Copper is a good electric conductor which is well known for its good electrical properties like; high tensile strength and good thermal transmission.

• Compliance

Electrical cables are tested and approved to meet the standards of the working environment that they are intended to serve. Type RG Single Conductor is in line with ASTM B3, National Engineers Code (NEC) and ANSI/SCTE 74.

• Shielding

Aluminum foiled shield is used to wrap the insulated single conductor. The shielding is braided and covers up to 60% of the conductor to prevent overlapping. It provides protection from RF leakages and mechanical interference.

• Insulation

It is insulated with coaxial layer, which is made of Foam Polyethylene. FPE is protectsfrom moisture and oils. This improves the service life of this cable.
