Belden 9841 Applications:

Belden 9841 Multi Pair Overall Foil Shielded Low Capacitance RS-485 Computer Cable is a cable that is flexible and performs well over long distances. The cable is perfect for industrial automation and harsh conditions.  However, it is most often used in computer automation systems. In particular, Belden 9841 cable is perfect for computer communications; low voltage analog signals, low voltage digital control (24v) ,  line level audio,  panel Wiring, and serial communication  according to RS-485 standard.

Belden 9841 is designed for low capacitance computer cables for EIA RS-485 applications. The RS-485 standard is used for long-distance and noise-prone environments. It is suitable for automation systems, such as HVAC, lighting, and security. The cable can be used to connect instruments and establish communication between different parts of industrial equipment.

The 9841 cable is used indoors and is suitable for temperatures between -30°C to +80°C. The voltage rating is 300 V according to CM and 30 V according to UL AWM 2919.

Tinned copper conductor with excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. The conductor is sized 24 AWG and has 1 pair with 7x32 stranding.

Insulation:

The 9841 Belden cable has PE polyethylene insulation resistant to weather, abrasion, corrosion, flames, UV, impact, chemicals, acids, oils, sunlight, and industrial waste. 

Jacket:

Belden 9841 has a PVC jacket.

Shielding:

Bi-Laminate (Alum+Poly) tape (100% coverage) + TC braid shield (90% coverage)
