Applications:

Okonite type MV-105 cable is an electrical wire used for distribution or branch circuits or feeders in industrial and utility power distribution systems. Type MV cables may be installed in both wet and dry locations, indoors or outdoors or exposed to sunlight. This electrical cable can also be installed in an underground duct, directly buried or cable tray.

Construction

Conductors:

This Okonite cable conductor is made of stranded uncoated copper. Copper is used for this application because of its amazing electrical properties and flexibility.

Insulation:

The Okonite wire has Okoguard insulation, which is made of the ERP base and thermosetting compound. 

Jacket:

The Okonite wire has an Okoseal jacket, which is made of PVC. It is resistant to oils and chemicals.

Shielding:

This Okonite cable’s shield is 5 mil tape made of uncoated copper and is helically applied with 12.5% nominal overlap.
